How to change the "Vite + React" page title
"Vite + React" is the default title from the Vite template. It's what shows in the browser tab, in bookmarks and as the blue link in Google, so it's worth 30 seconds.
Change the site-wide title
Open index.html in your project root:
<title>Your App: what it does in a few words</title>
<meta name="description" content="120-160 characters on who it's for and what it does.">
Per-page titles
With React Router, set the title when each page mounts:
useEffect(() => { document.title = "Pricing · Your App"; }, []);
React 19 also lets you render <title> directly inside a component. Note that search engines and preview bots read the initial HTML most reliably, so keep a good default in index.html.
While you're in index.html, also check the favicon link; the template points to /vite.svg.
